"The Oregon Historical Society Library houses the collection of the Willamette Iron and Steel Works of Portland, Oregon in its Research Library. The "WISCO" Collection consists of information on the steam, electrical, and internal combustion equipment for logging and construction industries that the company manufactured. WISCO built equipment for logging, steam boats, mills, and power plants. Included in the collection are photos, sales records, and drawings. The collection spans the years 1901-1930, with mostly steam equipment built during those years. This includes the popular geared locomotives used on the Pacific Coast. The collection contains thousands of original machinery drawings, including a significant collection of steam donkey drawings. In addition are work orders, indexes, and engine record sheets."
